So yesterday I may have talked to the most creative kids yet since I started my positive self and body image program Self-Val YOU: Promoting Positive Personal Imagery.

The amazing Junior Girl Scouts from Incarnate Word Parish School did not just talk about their own experiences—no, they made up whole stories, with character names and everything, for examples of the Y, O, and U tools 😂.

Also, they wore reindeer antlers the whole time and pretty much were hilarious and totally fun to work with. I want to thank them and their leaders Ms. Karen and Ms. Amy for asking me to come present to them yesterday.

Do you know what else? Not a single girl in the troop has social media yet, and Junior scouts can be up to 12 years old, so I thought that was pretty amazing and I’m glad that I could talk to them a little bit about what social media might look like or what they may expect once they do have it. I hope that if they see unrealistic perfect pictures of people, they will remember my presentation and not let it negatively affect their self-image and remember that they are #valYOUable. ❤️

P.S. YES I KNOW THAT AGAIN I AM THE SAME SIZE AS THE KIDS AND THAT PICTURES OF ME WITH MY GROUPS ARE LIKE A SEEK AND FIND PUZZLE WHERE YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND ME. 😂😂😂
