#GivingTuesdayNow SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

With today being #GivingTuesdayNow, I am very excited to mark the day with some very special news.

Like I told you in my post this past weekend, although my trip to Washington D.C. for The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards had to be canceled, they did an amazing job of making the weekend special for the State Honorees through Zoom and our keynote speaker and lots of networking.

BUT more importantly the extremely special thing that has come from this change is that as part of my prize in addition to my $1,000 scholarship, they have been so generous to award me another $2,500 to donate to the 501(c)3 non-profit of my choice!!! So over the past few weeks I have been working with them to make the arrangements for my donation, and I am super proud to announce that I AM GOING TO BE ABLE TO DONATE $1,250 EACH TO Smart Gen Society and Girls on the Run St. Louis for their work in the field of positive self-image and self-authenticity and positive self-esteem!!!

COVID-19 has created challenges for all non-profit organizations, who have had their fundraising events and goals change in a major way because of this crisis. Both of these organizations have been so amazingly supportive of me and have played a huge part in what I do with Self-ValYOU, so I am beyond thrilled to be able to give back to them in this way at this time. And, I am so appreciative of Prudential for this amazing gift that I can pass along and pay forward!
