The creator of Self-ValYOU, Abbie Mueller, is a college freshman studying Theater and Psychology at Missouri State University.  A performer at heart, she loves to sing, dance, and act.  Most recently, Abbie has appeared in Stages St. Louis' Be More Chill and Putnam County Spelling Bee, Chaminade College Preparatory School's productions of Les Miserables and Newsies, Whitfield School's production of Guys And Dolls, Stages St. Louis' Heathers and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, played Lucy in Stages St. Louis' Snoopy, Alice Beineke in Stages St. Louis' The Addams Family, and Elsa in Stages St. Louis' Frozen, and appeared in Variety St. Louis' Wizard of Oz and Beauty And The Beast, working with differently-abled young people to bring professional theater to their lives.  She has studied with Krupinski Academy of Dance, Lisa Christine Studios (Vocal), and Stages Performing Arts Academy Triple Threats Teens.

As a five-time awardee of the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award (2016-2020), service to the community has been at the forefront of Abbie's active schedule since a young age.  In 2014, she founded Abbie's Helping Hands, a charity donating handmade fleece blankets and blessing bags to children in crisis.  In 2016, she founded Cookin' Crowns, a community service group that brings together scholarship pageant participants to cook meals for the guests at Ronald McDonald and Fisher Houses.  In addition to the PVSA, she is a yearly recipient of her school's Community Service Award, the youngest-ever recipient of the O'Fallon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution's Community Service Award, and volunteers her time with numerous other outreach programs.  In spring of 2019, Abbie was honored with the Bronze Congressional Award for her commitment to public service, personal development, and fitness.  Abbie was the 2020 Missouri High School Honoree for the national Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.

On the weekends you can find Abbie rehearsing for a show, dance ensemble, or a pageant, volunteering, studying, playing with her dogs Chuck and Maddie and her leopard gecko Miss Universe, or cheering on her 14-year-old brother at one of his sporting events.  Her goal is to become a professional Broadway stage actress.

Abbie competes in the Miss Missouri/Miss America's Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program, in 2019 as Miss Metro St. Louis' Outstanding Teen, and in 2018 as Miss Fleur De Lis' Outstanding Teen.  She is currently Miss Gateway St. Louis' Outstanding Teen 2020.  Prior to beginning her work with the Miss America Organization, she held national and state titles through the U.S.A. Ambassador, Princess of America, and National American Miss Pageant systems.  She is proud to be an advocate and fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network through its partnership with the Miss America Organization, and the Miss America Foundation.
